Welcome,

Biography

Hello, my name is Jose R. Acosta Rosado. In the following document you will be able to know more about me, and my future goals. Family and myself My name is Jose Rafael Acosta Rosado. I am twenty three years old. I was born in the San Juan Bautista Hospital in Caguas, Puerto Rico, in February 7, 1989. My family members are Jose R. Acosta Claudio (father), Sonia N. Rosado Marquez (mother), Soniely N. Acosta Rosado (oldest sister), and Georgette A. Acosta Rosado ( youngest sister). Academic Profile I was raised my first two years in Caguas, Puerto Rico. After kinder garden I moved to the United States of America. I lived in Washington D.C. for about year and I half. I went to an elementary school, and studied my first grade. After my first grade in Washintong D.C, I moved back to Puerto Rico with my family. I lived in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. I studied my second grade unto fourth grade in “La Escuela de la Comunidad de Villa Marina”. After finishing my fourth grade in Gurabo o moved to Caguas. My fifth and six year of elementary, I studied in the Paula Mojica School. After elementary school, I studied in the Aguayo Intermediate School. I only was enrolled in this school for two years, because the school was difficult to study and live in. Finally, I studied in a Catholic Academy School called “Academia Cristo de los Milagros”. I studied all of my high school in this academy, graduated from my ninth and twelve grades. I t was a wonderful experience. I can say that all that I know, I learned it in this school. Actually I am studying English as a second language in the University of Puerto in Humacao. I have been five years studying and hopefully I will finish my bachelor’s degree in May, 2012. I love what I chose to study even thou it wasn’t my first choice. Professional Goals As for my future goals in life, I want to continue studying education. Education has form part of my life. The majority of the people around me always critique my profession, because they believe that teachers are lazy, poor, and pathetic. They don’t believe that teaching is a wealthy profession. In the other hand, the same people that critique the teaching profession are begging for a change. And the only way of creating a change is through education. This is why I chose teaching; for a change. I believe that our country needs to make a change, and this is why I believe that social transformation is the key of success. Social transformation can only be achieved by a leader, and in order to create leaders they must be educated. This is where education and social transformation get together. My purpose of education is to train leaders that will follow their dreams and that eventually will cause a change. My future goal is to become a professional teacher that will train other to success. I also want to educate for the rest of my life. A real teacher sees his profession as a life style, and not as a partial work. I teach because it is my vocation.
